Big 5 Lodge

The Big 5 Lodge Kariba overlooks the world-renowned Lake Kariba, known to be the world’s largest man-made lake.  The lodge has a stunning panoramic view looking west towards the setting sun.  Lake Kariba is Africa’s greatest mass of masonry since the Pharoah’s built the pyramids.  It is truly a sight to behold. 

Fishing 

Lake Kariba is host to some of the most spectacular freshwater sport fishing in the world. It boasts with the Tigerfish (Hydrocynus Vittatus, Latin for “striped river dog”), Tilapia Bream, Vundu and many more. 

Tigerfish, a relative to the infamous piranha can grow up to 15kg (33/Lb) and are famous for their strength and speed. They have large carnivorous teeth and are known for their “leaping out of the water” fighting performance.
